Blue Star, providers of high performance IT network cybersecurity services, engineering and software solutions, hosted a company picnic at Nationals Park yesterday to demonstrate appreciation for the tireless efforts of its employees. The event kicked off with a buffet lunch in an exclusive area of the stadium and continued with a record-breaking 18-inning game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Employees and their families and friends enjoyed the game from third baseline seats that offered an optimal view of the action.
Dan Sherwell, President of Blue Star, was quoted as saying, “I really enjoyed yesterday’s event. I love getting the team together outside of the office environment. Everyone had a great time and I’m already looking forward to next summer’s get together!”
Alexa Watson, a member of Blue Star’s operations team, had this to say about the event: “When you are building a high performance team, trust is everything. Trust equates to greater innovation, collaboration, and productivity. We consider events like this to be critical in safeguarding our company culture. Events like this are part of what makes Blue Star such a strong team.”
Tom N., one of Blue Star’s software engineers, added, “It was great to see everyone at yesterday’s event. Fun outings like the Nationals game are one of the many reasons why Blue Star is a great place to work.”
