CHANTILLY, VA (February 28, 2020) — Blue Star, a leading managed IT security services company, has partnered with the cybersecurity clubs at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) and University of Maryland, College Park to give a series of ‘Tech Talks’ for the student-run cybersecurity clubs.
Blue Star’s Director of Cyber Initiatives, Austin Norby, spoke with students covering topics such as emerging cybersecurity trends and career opportunities after graduation. The talks also included an in-depth discussion on Ghidra, the software reverse engineering tool developed and open-sourced by NSA.
“Blue Star looks for every opportunity to support the next generation of cybersecurity professionals. Whether we’re discussing tips and techniques or answering questions, supporting the future of cybersecurity is critical to our mission. We look forward to every campus visit,” said Dan Sherwell, Blue Star President.
In addition to tech talks, Blue Star supports capture-the-flag cyber competitions for students at UMD and UMBC.
